Parish Meeting News

Millbrook is a very small parish with approximately 150 residents and 65 dwellings. As such, it does not warrant a full Parish Council with elected Councillors - we have a Parish Meeting instead.

The Parish Meeting is headed by an elected Chairman, currently Mike Edwards and has one salaried officer, the Clerk, Jennie Thomas.

Parish Meetings are generally held three times a year in January, May (the Annual Parish Meeting) and October. These Meetings are "open" and can be attended by any interested party.

Agenda items generally cover; parish accounts, planning matters and any other matters that villagers would like to discuss. Our Meetings are normally attended by one or more of our three District Councillors and our County Councillor as well as representatives from the Church, Village Hall Trust and local businesses.

Our next Meeting is to be held in the Village Hall at 8pm on Friday 25th May 2007.

For further details of our next Meeting or to add an item to the agenda, please contact the Clerk
