Welcome to the Millbrook Village website
This website is currently under construction, so please bear with us!
As a bit of background, Millbrook is a small village in Bedfordshire, England with a population of approximately 150. We can trace the village's history back to the Domesday Book and beyond.
Once the site is up and operational, we plan to provide more information on;
- History of Millbrook
- Family History - data for those researching ancestors from Millbrook. We have details of census returns going back to 1841 and access to Parish Registers, etc. For more details, e-mail Dave Thomas
- Village News - for news flashes about the village. Check here for latest news about the Warren Wood development by Center Parcs.
- Village Events, for details of forthcoming events in the social calendar of the village.
- Village Noticeboard, for villagers to post notices, etc
- Parish Meeting News - for details of Parish Meetings, Agendas, Minutes, Planning Applications, etc
- Millbrook Voice On-line - Our village newsletter on-line, with access to some backnumbers.
- Village Hall - Millbrook Village Hall opened in May 2001. This attractive new building, located next to the playing field, replaced the original thatched building, which served the small community of Millbrook for several decades. The new Hall is bright and airy, offering space for up to 120 people. It has a well-equipped kitchen, disabled facilities, baby changing equipment and a good-sized car park, in a peaceful rural setting.
- Freedom of Information Act 2000 - As a "public authority" under the Act, Millbrook Parish Meeting is required to publish details of how information will be made available to interested parties. A Publication Scheme has been adopted by the Parish Meeting and approved by the Information Commissioner.
